Writing

Our class uses the Lucy Calkins Writing Workshop model for writing instruction. Students will study and write in the following genres:

• Personal Narrative
• Essay
• Fiction
• How-To/Informational
• Poetry

Students will draft, revise, edit, and publish a minimum of one completed piece of writing in each genre. Grading rubrics can be found below.
