To Do...

 12-5-19

Today you will learn about ways to describe sets of data. Specifically, you will review mean (average), median, mode, and range. Please complete each task below. When you click on links, sites will open in a new tab. When you finish with a task, just close that tab to return to this page.

Do these tasks in order:

1. We will begin with a number sense activity -- estimating decimals on a number line. Do about 10 of these or until you can get within 5% consistently. You should spend no more than 5 minutes on this task. Do not go to any other activities on this site.

2. Watch the video below about mean, median, mode and range. You will need headphones. Watch the entire video even though this should be review -- do not skip any parts!

3. Watch the video below, but begin at 15:43 - click play and then scroll forward until you get to approximately the correct location. Continue watching until the end of the video. You can watch the entire video later if you want.
4. You will now take some quizzes to test your understanding of mean, median, mode, and range. These quizzes will be scored as you go and results will be sent to Mr. Bowen. Select the correct link for your class below, find your name, and enter 1234 as your password. You can do the quizzes in any order, but be sure to complete all four quizzes. You will need some scratch paper for calculations.
