In this chapter, students will use base-10 blocks to develop an algorithm for dividing whole number dividends by single-digit divisors. Note: This chapter will be combined with Chapter 3: Divide by a One-Digit Divisor.

Chapter 4 Objectives:

Model division using base-10 blocks
Divide by powers of 10 (division fact extensions)
Estimate quotients of whole number division
Use an algorithm to divide whole numbers with two-digit divisors.
Interpret remainders of division word problems
